Indocopters opens new maintenance operation at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi

Indocopters Pvt Ltd, head quartered at Greater Noida, has a pan India presence with DGCA approved maintenance repair and overhaul bases in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur Bhubaneswar, Bangalore and Katra. It has now extended its maintenance network by adding a maintenance facility at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. This new operation was inaugurated on 9th Jan 2012 by the CEO of the company Mr. Mike Meyer.

Sale of AS350 B3

Indocopters with Eurocopter signed a contract on 02 Dec 2011, for the sale of AS350 B3 to Prabhattam Aviation. This is the second AS350 B3 being sold to Prabhatam. The addition of another AS350 B3 within a year, to the existing Eurocopter fleet of the company, affirms the versatility of this rugged machine, its powerful high performance and its ability to carry out the most demanding missions in the extreme weather and geographic conditions.

The machine would be delivered in the month of February.

Indocopters Pvt. Ltd. delivered VIP helicopter EC155 B1 to the Madhya Pradesh government in India

This month Indocopters together with Eurocopter completed the delivery of a VIP configured EC155 helicopter to the Madhya Pradesh government. The aircraft was delivered in crates to the ICPL facility near Delhi, and was assembled and made airworthy in little over two weeks, test flown on 5th October and presented to the MP government in Bhopal on 10th October. The aircraft will be used extensively by the Chief Minister and his entourage. Indocopters will maintain the aircraft for the Government of MP, while their own staff gain experience with this aircraft.

Initial orders from ‘Summit Aviation’ for two AS 350 B3, ‘VASANTRAO MOREY’ for one VIP AS 350 B3 and a Mumbai based corporate house signs for an EC135.

Under the contract, Indocopter will sell helicopters to Summit Aviation, Morey Group of Companies and a Mumbai based corporate house. The AS350 is a powerful and reliable aircraft that has established itself with its unmatched performance, extensive mission equipment options and the safety of its multiple-redundancy system design. With built-in maneuverability, super visibility and low vibration levels in the cabin, the AS350 has earned its reputation as a true multi-mission workhorse. The hot-and-high AS350 B3 version—outfitted with a FADEC-equipped 847-shp Turbomeca Arriel 2B1 –has a spacious cabin while boosting the speed up to 140 knots and extra lifting capability.
